A Type Laying Hen Cage Specifications

The A-Type cage features a flexible design, commonly with 3–5 tiers, accommodating different flock sizes. It is compact, space-saving, and ideal for small to medium-sized farms. Although 4 tiers or more can increase stocking density, they are relatively less convenient for management and cleaning.

How to Choose Laying Hen Cage for Your Poultry Farm?

There are various sizes and types of layer cages available on the market. You should choose according to the weight and size of your chickens, as well as the climate conditions in your country. For example, 1.5 kg and 2.5 kg laying hens require different cage dimensions. In hot and cool climates, the service life of cages of the same quality can vary significantly. Therefore, price should not be the only factor to consider.

1. Less than 2,000 birds

We recommend manual layer cages with an automatic drinking system. Feeding and egg collection are done manually. If you plan to expand your farm to more than 10,000 birds in the future, our automatic feeding and egg collection equipment can be directly installed on your existing cages.

2. Between 5000 birds to 10,000 birds

In addition to layer cages, we suggest equipping a manure removal system. Timely cleaning of manure can reduce disease, improve egg production, and save more time and labor costs.

1. Beyond 15,000 birds

You will need to install some automated equipment and set up two or more poultry houses for easier management. For example, an automatic egg collection system, which operates once or twice daily, can greatly improve efficiency.
