Components and Layout Design of Chick Cages
ABC Machinery chick cage is widely used in modern poultry farms for raising chicks up to 7–8 weeks old. It features a safe and comfortable multi-tier design, soft mesh flooring suitable for delicate feet, and an automatic drinking system. Feeding and temperature control systems can be configured for manual or automatic operation. A-type baby chick cage is designed for medium and small-scale poultry farms with a stocking capacity of up to 25,000 chicks. The 3-tier chick cage is more popular, as it is easier to manage for disease prevention and has a more suitable height, which ensures the stable operation of the feeding system. On the other hand, the 4-tier cage is taller, which increases the difficulty of disease control and may interfere with the stable operation of feeding equipment. Therefore, if a feeding system is needed, it is recommended to choose the 3-tier A-type chick cage.

Our H-type chick cage is suitable for large-scale enclosed poultry farms, especially those rearing over 25,000 birds. As a typical stacked battery cage system, it is increasingly adopted by modern livestock operations. The baby chick cages are made from Q235 steel and 275g galvanized wire mesh. The cage frame and panels use 275g hot-dip galvanized sheets, offering excellent corrosion resistance. U-shaped steel bars and self-tapping screws make the structure strong, stable, and easy to clean, while the cage doors are designed for one-handed operation. An adjustable baffle is set inside the feeding trough to accommodate the feeding height required by chicks at different growth stages.
A foot pedal at the front of the bottom mesh creates a better feeding environment, ensuring feeding efficiency and growth quality. Hot water pipes are laid at the cage bottom to reduce temperature differences between tiers, and the adjustable drinking line with nipple cups ensures uninterrupted water supply. The 680mm vertical spacing between tiers provides excellent ventilation.
