Brooder Cage
- A-type &H-type brooder cage
- 3-6 tiers configurable
- Hot-dip galvanized Q235 steel
- For 1-day to 8-week chicks
- 20-30 years service life
Why Choose Our Brooder Cage
Not every brooder cage is built the same. Most cages on the market are repurposed adult cages with a heating lamp bolted on. Our brooder cages are designed from the ground up for chicks aged 1 day to 8 weeks, addressing the three biggest killers of young birds: temperature shock, dehydration, and disease spread.

BOTTOM HOT WATER PIPES
Even heat distribution keeps chicks warm and comfortable.

PP PLASTIC FLOOR MATTING
Durable, anti-slip, and easy to clean for better hygiene.

ADJUSTABLE DRINKING LINE
Height adjustable to match chick growth at all stages.

INDEPENDENT MANURE BELTS
Efficient manure removal keeps the environment clean and healthy.

GALVANIZED STEEL FRAME
Strong, rust-resistant, and built for long-term use.
Brooder Cage vs Chick Cage
Aren’t they the same thing? This is the most common question we hear from first-time buyers. A brooder cage is a climate-controlled rearing system, not just a smaller version of a layer cage.
| BROODER CAGE | STANDARD CHICK CAGE | |
|---|---|---|
| TEMPERATURE CONTROL | Built-in heating system for optimal chick comfort | No heating system; relies on ambient temperature |
| FLOOR MATERIAL | Plastic-coated or wire mesh with brooder mat option | Galvanized wire mesh |
| DRINKING SYSTEM | Nipple drinkers with easy height adjustment | Nipple or cup drinkers with fixed height |
| FEEDING | Chick starter trays for easy access and minimal waste | Trough feeders or chick feeder trays |
| MANURE MANAGEMENT | Manure belt or tray for frequent cleaning and hygiene | Manure belt or tray with standard cleaning interval |
| BEST FOR | 0–3 weeks old chicks (brooding stage) | 3+ weeks old chicks (grower stage) |
Features of Brooder Cage

Multi-Tier Structure
Maximizes space utilization and increases rearing capacity per unit area.

Split-Phase Feeding
Dual feeding trough design supports chick growth at different stages.

Precision Drinking
Nipple drinkers provide clean water with less wastage and lower labor.

Active Manure Removal
Automated belt system removes manure continuously for a cleaner environment.

Thermal Management
Hot water heating system maintains a stable temperature for healthy chick development.

Ventilation Design
Optimized air gap between tiers ensuresfresh air circulation and reduces humidity.

FAQ
What is the difference between a brooder cage and a regular chick cage?
A brooder cage is a complete climate-controlled system with integrated heating, adjustable-height feeding and drinking, and independent manure management per tier. A standard chick cage is a wire enclosure that relies on room-level heating — it works for small flocks but cannot deliver the temperature uniformity and survival rates that commercial operations require.
How long do chicks stay in a brooder cage?
Typically 6-8 weeks for layer pullets, and 2-3 weeks for broiler chicks before transfer to grow-out housing. The exact timing depends on breed, target weight, and ambient climate. Our technical team provides a week-by-week management guide with every order.
Why is bottom heating more effective than overhead lamps alone?
Chicks lose heat through their feet. Without bottom heating, chicks on lower tiers run 3-5°C colder than those on top — and this shows up in mortality data before you notice it visually. Hot water pipes under the cage floor eliminate this vertical temperature gradient entirely.
Can the same brooder cage be used for broilers and layer pullets?
Yes. The cage structure is identical for both bird types. What changes is the feeding program, lighting schedule, and heating profile — all adjusted through the environmental controller, not the hardware. One capital investment covers multiple production cycles.
