Poultry Flooring System for Poultry
When building or renovating chicken, duck, goose, or rabbit houses, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is crucial. Traditional wooden or soil floors tend to accumulate manure, retain moisture, and harbor bacteria and odors. Our thickened plastic slatted floor system is the perfect solution. Made from durable, high-strength plastic, it is sturdy, long-lasting, and easy to clean. The unique slatted design allows manure to fall through quickly, keeping the poultry house dry and reducing the risk of disease.
The slatted floor system is suitable for a wide range of poultry and small livestock, including chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits. It is especially ideal for large-scale farms or operations that require efficient management. After installation, manure cleaning becomes simple, fast, and labor-saving, while also improving the living environment for the animals, enhancing growth rates and egg production.

Poultry Flooring System in Detail
In a cage free aviary system, the slatted floor system in poultry is not something you can choose casually—it directly affects the health of your birds and the hygiene of the poultry house. There are many types of floors on the market, including plastic, wood, and metal materials, as well as strip slats, mesh designs, and modular systems, each suited for brooding, laying, or fattening.
Simply put, poultry flooring systems mainly fall into two categories: one is the deep litter system, which allows birds to move freely and forage naturally; the other is the plastic slatted floor system, where birds stay off the ground and manure falls through quickly, keeping the house dry and clean, while making cleaning and management much easier—ideal for farms that aim for high-efficiency operation.
Plastic Slatted Floor System for Poultry
A practical, low-maintenance flooring solution that keeps your poultry house dry, clean and cost-efficient. Below is a ready-to-use product section.
Why choose a slatted floor?
Our plastic slatted floor system prevents manure buildup, giving a dryer, less odorous environment and better air quality.
How it works
The upper layer is the bird activity zone, while a ~70 cm space underneath is for manure collection. Panels interlock for stability and rapid waste removal.
Components & installation
- Slatted panels — interlocking polypropylene boards
- Load-bearing beams — provide structural support
- Support bases — adjustable legs for leveling
- Manure pipes — channels for collection and discharge
Installation is modular and fast: place panels on beams, set beams on supports, connect pipes.

Deep Litter Poultry Rearing System
The deep litter poultry rearing system is a traditional method of raising poultry, particularly suited for broiler chickens. Poultry houses are typically constructed from earth or bricks, with 8–10 cm of litter spread on the floor to provide a comfortable area for birds to move and forage.
Common litter materials: sawdust, rice husks, chopped straw, or wheat straw. These materials help absorb moisture and manure while offering birds opportunities for scratching and natural foraging.
Birds can move freely and feed naturally, and the housing environment remains relatively soft. However, over the course of a rearing cycle, the litter gradually mixes with manure and moisture.
End-of-cycle cleaning: At the end of the cycle, thorough cleaning is required to remove the used litter and manure, ensuring a clean environment for the next flock.
Although the deep litter system is simple to operate and has relatively low construction costs, it has certain limitations in controlling hygiene, odors, and disease transmission. It also requires more labor to maintain a clean and healthy flock.
