The disc granulator, known as a ball plate, has a circular arc design, achieving a granulation rate of over 93%. It includes three outlets for intermittent production, reducing labor demands and improving efficiency. A flexible belt drive for the reducer and motor ensures a smooth start, extending equipment life.

Reinforcement is provided to the plate’s base through multiple robust steel plates, ensuring long-lasting durability and preventing deformation. The disc granulator’s plate is fortified with high-strength glass fiber, guaranteeing resistance to corrosion and prolonged usability.

How Does The Disc Granulator Work To Granulate Materials?

The motor drives the disc through a belt, with the gear propelling fertilizer materials to rotate. Due to gravity and centrifugal force, small particles move down the disc and stick to powder, gradually increasing in size.

 Friction makes particles roll upward, passing the scraper gap. Ungranulated materials drop through the gap between scraper and pan bottom. After cycles, particles grow and overflow the disc’s edge. 

Disc angle is usually 35-55 degrees, speed 10-18r/min. Angle affects size and residence time. Factors include disc diameter, cleanliness, side height, speed, spray position, and scraper location.
