Disc Fertilizer Granulator

Introduction of Disc Fertilizer Granulator

The disc granulator, known as a ball plate, has a circular arc design, achieving a granulation rate of over 93%. It includes three outlets for intermittent production, reducing labor demands and improving efficiency. A flexible belt drive for the reducer and motor ensures a smooth start, extending equipment life.

Reinforcement is provided to the plate’s base through multiple robust steel plates, ensuring long-lasting durability and preventing deformation. The disc granulator’s plate is fortified with high-strength glass fiber, guaranteeing resistance to corrosion and prolonged usability.

The Structure of Disc Fertilizer Granulator Machine

  1. Disk: Central part for material placement and granulation, rotates for pellet formation.

  2. Doctor Holder: Supports disk alignment and stability, boosting granulation efficiency.

  3. Frame: Structural framework for system cohesion, stability, and support.

  4. Pinion: Gears with annular gear, transfers motor rotation to disk.

  5. Reducer: Slows motor speed, boosts torque for efficient granulation.

  6. Motor: Drives disk rotation, initiates granulation.

  7. Regulating Screw: Adjusts disk angle, affects particle trajectory and quality.

  8. Base: Supports and stabilizes granulator during operation.

  9. Annular Gear: Large ring gear meshing with pinion, drives disk rotation and granulation.

How Does The Disc Granulator Work To Granulate Materials?

The motor drives the disc through a belt, with the gear propelling fertilizer materials to rotate. Due to gravity and centrifugal force, small particles move down the disc and stick to powder, gradually increasing in size.

 Friction makes particles roll upward, passing the scraper gap. Ungranulated materials drop through the gap between scraper and pan bottom. After cycles, particles grow and overflow the disc’s edge.

Disc angle is usually 35-55 degrees, speed 10-18r/min. Angle affects size and residence time. Factors include disc diameter, cleanliness, side height, speed, spray position, and scraper location.

Features Of Disc Granulator Machine

1. Production of grains is spherical-shaped;

2. Organic content can be as high as 100%, achieving pure organic granules.

3. Making use of the characteristic that particulate organic matter can grow up inlaid with each other under a certain role, it is not required to add binders during the granulation process.

4. Particles are solid and they can be screened after granulation;

5. Organic material safter fermentation is unnecessary to be dried, moisture of raw materials can reach 20%-40%.
