Working principle of Rotary Drum Granulator

The belt and pulley are driven by the main motor, and are transmitted to the drive shaft through the reducer. 

The split gear installed on the drive shaft meshes with the large gear ring fixed on the body, and works in opposite directions. The material is fed from the feed end and passes through the inside of the cylinder. 

Through the function of the special structure inside the cylinder, it is made into granules, and then flows out through the discharge port. Due to the continuous entry of materials and the continuous rotation of the granulator, mass production can be realized.

Working principle of Disc Granulator

The motor drives the disc through a belt, with the gear propelling fertilizer materials to rotate. Due to gravity and centrifugal force, small particles move down the disc and stick to powder, gradually increasing in size.

 Friction makes particles roll upward, passing the scraper gap. Ungranulated materials drop through the gap between scraper and pan bottom. After cycles, particles grow and overflow the disc’s edge. 

Disc angle is usually 35-55 degrees, speed 10-18r/min. Angle affects size and residence time. Factors include disc diameter, cleanliness, side height, speed, spray position, and scraper location.

 As the flat dies rotate, they exert pressure on the raw materials, forcing them through the small holes on the surface of the dies. This mechanical force compacts the materials into dense pellets of uniform size and shape.

 The simplicity of this design allows for efficient pelletization, making it well-suited for various applications such as biomass fuel, animal feed, and more.

Working principle of Ring Die Pellet Mill

The working principle of a Ring Die Pellet Mill revolves around its core mechanism which involves the use of a rotating cylindrical die and stationary rollers to compress and shape biomass materials into dense pellets. 

The process begins with the feeding of raw materials such as wood chips, sawdust, or agricultural residues into the mill’s chamber. As the die rotates, the rollers press against it, forcing the material through the die’s small holes.

The intense pressure and friction generated during this process result in the compression and heating of the raw material. The heat softens the lignin present in the biomass, acting as a natural binder that holds the pellet together when it cools down.
